Happy Birthday Noah.

Can he really be nine years old already? Sweet child who changed my life forever - first one to call me 'mommy'. I adore watching you take care of your baby brother and you are so responsible and sensitive in everything that you do.
We celebrated Noah's birthday Friday night at our beach house after everyone got home from Boston. We had cupcakes for Noah and Jesse who's b-day is the day after Noah's. They were so excited to get their presents that we all forgot about the cupcakes for a bit - but Jenna didn't, she climbed up on the table and helped herself to some frosting and then generously salted and peppered all the cupcakes that were left - needless to say no more cupcakes were eaten. ;-)

End of vacation

What a crazy end to our week of vacation. Papa ended up in Boston in the hospital and Gramma, Kimmy, Uncle Matt and Daddy all stayed overnight with him in the ICU waiting room. All day Friday we just hung out at our vacation house and played and let the kids do their own thing. Here's the fund we had on the trampline in the woods: Silas finds his own breakfast in the late morning.

Silas finds these stairs irresistable...scarey to watch, but he handles them well.

Really nice play set on the lawn.

Beach vacation

My boys riding the waves. Daddy helps Silas enjoy the water.

Happy sandy adorable little guy.

Noah is so good about looking out for his baby brother.
Thoughtful baby surveys the scene.

We are having such a lovely week. Too bad it will be over soon as will our too short summer.

Three peas in a pod...no doubt

When Silas was a small baby, he was like a carbon copy of Levi at that age. As he's gotten older, he looks more and more like Noah. I can't decide who he looks more like...

Here's Silas today:

Noah atround the same age:And Levi also around the same age.

Oh they are all growing up too quickly!

Sweet boy

His hair has the cutest curls. Daddy speaks of cutting them off, but mommy won't hear of it. This smile and those eyes simply make me melt.
Somehow he manages to carry on complete conversations without knowing a word of english...it's all in the eyes I think.

Check out those chubby thighs and diaper butt...cuteness overload!
If only he wasn't growing up so quickly. I want to find the brakes and slow time down.

Little league

Noah's team this year was the Lake Placid Dodgers. He was pretty proud when they made it to the play-offs...it was a long season.

You could always tell when it was Noah up to bat because he always taps his left foot while he's waiting for the pitch:
Waiting for a good hit:
Pure concentration...
